A top mounted “toothpick” build!
Interesting note is that the backpack VTXs will bolt right up to 16x16 mounts that this frame also has.
Depinned motor connectors on the FC, mounted it 90 degrees rotated and upside down for easy usb access and also the antenna can freely point up.
There is a nice canopy as well if one goes the bottom mount option
Cant wait for the maiden!

--Update 17th June 2019
After multiple maiden attempts and getting technical issues I finally got a few packs in. Here is one of them:

--Update 23rd June 2019
changed motors to br1103b 8000kv racerstars. The four bolt pattern seems more secure on this prototype. (3 bolt pattern has been beefed up on the final release)

however it comes to start. I actually have been looking for a top mount 2.5" gonna run 3s on 1104 8000kv i think. not sure though, may bump up the motor size amd go 7500kv. Im using a betafpv 2-4s 12amp.

i love the top mount dude!! ive always wanted to turn these micro 2.5 whoops into a top mounted quad just cause its my preference. and omg that is a really short frame!!! its just sooo good looking and suprisingly lighter than what i thought. Also i noticed that maybe its lighter because of the 1102 motors. would you prefer 1102 over 1103?

also whats the wheelbase of this thing, looks quite a bit larger than normal toothpick-sized frames (110mm~)

havent flown this build yet besides a test hover. Ive had the old racerstar 1103 that were only a bit more powerful but these are smoother. probably a higher kv would be fine if you want more power but yeah these ex1102 are super light. fingers crossed on their durability.
st measured motor to motor - 92mm left to right. 90mm front to back and 128mm diagonally

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
