Finally got my 1103 Hyperlite motors with the right kv in today.Never really been happy with the 1103 primo because the 080X version with 1102 flys so good and on 3s now. Trying out different motors that I just wasn't happy with made me not want to fly it much. So these hyperlite motors are pretty good however they get a little warmer than I like on 3s and even 2s. Well not as much on 2s but still warm. So I am going to still keep looking for a 1103 that I am happy with on 3s. These new hyperlite motors do have low amp draw and are super smooth. Update the hyperlite motors are handling 3s fairly well about 20 packs however they do get warm.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I like the build. What did you use to space up the canopy? And how do you like those props? (new Pyrodrones?)
I had high hopes for those motors too. Guess I'll stick with 1102s for now.
The props r probably the best out right now. The motors r really nice on 2s. They are rated for 3s but they get really warm. The amp draw seems good on them and they are really really smooth. The 1102 barely get warm on 3s. Try them out however I think they r going to do best on 2s.
my bad I didn't answer your question about the space. use a whoop rubber garment. I cut one in half r leave it hole.
Sounds like those motors and props would be a nice upgrade for my 2s build. Thanks for the recommendations.
i use old 11500kv 1102 motors, but even on high throttle they only heat up and it loose power over all. is it realy possible with that much small props and high kv on 3s, when i mention about rpm, these tiny bearings... it would be very nice, but i think on 3s and high kv this didnt work and we are fare away. are the ratings for this small motors high kv on 3s not a bit a fake?
my friend the motors say they are rated for 3s and the kv is 8022. which should be good for 3s.
you didnt write the kv, 8000kv is a bit less but still near 100000rpm at max thrust x-) would be very noce if it works, dvr would be very nice
The kv is 8022 how accurate that is idk. flight video coming. weather has been windy everyday
