AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

How is the performance of that lipo? Might want to get that one!
I've really only had time for one flight out with it, and that was with a really bad VTx antenna, so I didn't push it very much. So far, it seems pretty good, but 1-2 tame flights really isn't enough to make a determination. The price was definitely right. I'll post more as I get to fly it more.
Sure thing, hope you enjoy your quad man!
So I got out to fly the other day. Not doing anything real aggressive, and got 7.5 minutes out of the pack, so that was pretty good for me. Was flying with the tri-blades, might be a bit better with the bi-blades. I get enough power out of it to make the props slip, so that's almost too good. The accelerometer recorded 7G's+ on a full throttle punchout so I think they give excellent value for the money.
