I love this little thing but I hated every second building it, those tiny wires and positioning everything is such a chore. But, it flies amazing.
The flight controller is bad, don't buy it. It only has 1 UART exposed so no VTX control and it's just bad overall. I had to file the frame down a bit just to avoid changing FC orientation (because all the wires would end up on the bottom) in Betaflight and it was a pain. Not recommended - I just didn't research much back when I ordered it. I bought a BetaFpv AIO 2-4S 12A board and I will be doing another build on the same frame (cause I love it) soon, that board looks to be much better than this one - but obviously a bit more expensive.
The motors are good, I printed my own canopy in TPU 98 it's flexible but strong and some 3mm spacers and I love how low the deck is. I don't like the 1 antenna the XM has but it will have to do for now, the receiver is very light and petty good - yeah the single antenna looks kind of weird but I don't mind. I ended up cutting off the canopy VTX antenna ring in the back and zip tied the antenna, the broken out Unify Nano button and the battery pigtail.
The lipos I have now are unfortunately big and heavy and very tired. I'll probably get something around 350mah to maybe 450mah to keep the weight down.
Not much else to say, took me some time to figure out how everything fits together but it ended up pretty good.
Edit on June 27th
Changed the props to 2.5" Emax Avan and I like it soooo much better. The 8000kv motors were a bit anaemic with the 65mm bi-blades but these tri-bladed props give it so much more authority and it just makes it feel like a much bigger quad, same feeling of power. Love them.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
