TBS source two x Lightweight Freestyle

My first lightweight freestyle build featuring the open source TBS source two.
Notes:

  • If you want to use a TBS swagger strap you have to file the slits in the top plate a little bit to increase wideness.
  • The build was easy except directly soldering the motor strands to the Racewire connectors.
    Usually I would just use the cable but the wires were already trimmed.
  • I ditched the 30mm standoffs for 20mm ones to lower the CoG.
    There is plenty of space to mount the F405 stack with 20mm standoffs and fit a small VTX underneath the top plate.

Really impressed by the quality and the fit of the frame altogether but the ability to take hits needs to be investigated.
The flight performance is outstanding. On my ~360g alien the motors were less efficient and busted batteries with ease.
This frame weighs ~270g without batteries and is therefore a lot more efficient.
It still needs some PID tuning to fly as smooth as my alien but other than that I'm really impressed.

After comparison flights I can thoroughly confirm that the absence of momentum is really noticeable and therefore the flying style needs some adjustment.
Another thing that bothers me a little is the finicky mounting of the battery when flying topmount but this will be changed anyways as soon as my gopro arrives.

I need to take better pictures. I hope this will do for now.
