This build started as a 5", then I realized I had some crazy motors laying unused that would be perfect for a 6" build on 6s. I added a gps because why not, and its running crossfire with diversity allowing me to rip long distances quickly without worry. I had the Kiss v2 FC before the frame because I wanted to try Kiss again after not having flown anything Kiss in about 3 years. Naturally the Alien or Reverb was a perfect fit for this FC with the available PDB options. This is the most powerful thing I have ever flown by a significant margin. Still working on the tune but it is smooth and maybe a little too powerful! Might try some 5s.
It took me a long time to get happy with the layout of components and TPU mounts. I must have printed 18 different things for this just to try. However, I feel that the final iteration will be solid, functional, and visually pleasing.
This Mid Range Reverb is really good and what would make this better is by recording its expreience and here are Canon tripod one of the best reviewed Best Canon Tripod
Oh snap! I almost posted a new build stating that I had "the first 2208.5 Hyperlites on RB" (which like last time I said something like that... I was wrong). I do not have my electronics for that build yet and so I cannot make that claim. I got the 1722 KV's because I know that even at 5S I will be cresting the RPM limit of the APC 6060's I plan to use with mine. So I have a Q: what are they like? Are they just as insanely powerful as one might think? Here is a pic of the quad I am building with the 1722's.
Insanely powerful for sure. these are also actually your 1722 but the site only populated the slightly higher versions. Lots of pull in higher rpm ranges. I thought the narrow stator would give me some smoothness due to lack of torque but there isn't a lack of anything. I still need to try 5s which I think will be great for flying in less than hugely wide open spaces.
Yeah... I just really love the Hyperlite series. They are something special. I just built a super lite rig with the 2204's and had them just basically hovering the quad (not what those are for), and they came down so hot I never thought they'd fly again. Nope... didn't bother them one bit. Now that I have the configuration corrected that rig flies like a bird. PyroDrone are made better than other motors.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Nice! The 4S equivellent motor KV is approx 2880KV which on a 6.1 inch blade will certainly create a lot of power! How's the low end power out of curiosity?
Low end feels pretty good. very controllable which is why I went with taller narrower motors to give it a bit of a softer hit down low. I also flew it on 5s to effectively lower the kv and it felt more linear but the 6s just loves to cruise around at low throttle.
