OMG Yes! I always said 2019 would be the year that down facing motors would be the new hype. My thought would be to stick the flight stack in the frame upside down and then just flip the props so they would be more at the height of the stack

What I want to know is what is it like to land (the straight pusher)? You just disarm close to the ground?

kwadkenstine   Jul 18, 2019

Basically yes. I line up on something tall levell out and disarm when it touches

I think if you just rotate the camera and change a few BF parameters this will become a normal quad with top-mounted battery and electronics mounted underneath the bottom plate. So it's not that weird. Ok, just for that, I am giving it a like! 😉

First of all, I think it's pretty cool the way you used the edf motor like that. The shaft poking up through the arm is interesting. How are you launching it? Do you just put it on a small object, so it sits on the battery and the props clear, or can you sit it on the prop nuts and still take off (have you tried? does it unscrew the prop nuts?)
Second of all: IS THAT A NISSAN SKYLINE?!?!?!?!!?!?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
