It is my first Long Range build. I choose this best seller frame for the price, and the quality. But after building it, i found the 4mm arms are too thin for 7" props. Now we could find chinese copies with 5 mm arms.
I use to fly it with 4S batteries and the 6" Emax Avan because there is more response and less vibrations (so less jello too). I've tried the DAL Cyclone 7056C 3 blades props but it could be better with 5S/6S batteries.
I choose TBS Crossfire for this 1st build, and I really do not regret this choice. It's so easy to setup/update and the telemetry is amazing.
And for my 1st radio compatible with crossfire, i choosed the Jumper T16. Coming from the Flysky FSi6 it was a big change for me : OpenTx, big screen, and crossfire.
And now, i'm only waiting for the mountains to go surfing above their peaks (next holidays this summer).
Looks like you're the only one on here to have tried the Fatshark Dominators V3. Thoughts after a while of use? Good for a newb like myself?
Hi
It is strange because before i tried fatshark goggles, i was thinking i prefered big FOV. And during june i bought a pair of Dominator V3 and a pair of HD2 (with the biggest FOV). And i after many fpv sessions, I realized that the V3 were less tiring for my eyes. I'm 52 years old and I wear glasses, being short-sighted and astigmatic. And especially the next few weeks I will do the LongRange flight and on the v3 it is easier to read the OSD : and in LR we particularly monitor its flight parameter.
I loved the HD2 but difficult to read the OSD effortlessly. I think they are better to do freestyle without OSD (just the minimum informations)
Happy flying
I met a problem with my so much hoped for lipo 5S 2200 mAh from pyrodrone : they don't send lipos overseas.
So I had to fall back on a French shop with the CNHL 5S 1800 mAh
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
