After having a setback with my last build it was time to rebuild it and make it even better. The hyperlow thought it was necessary to burn out the esc mid air and go do some searching for dinosaur bones 10 feet under ground.
Luckily some parts survived so I could use them on this build.
Since I love Aikon stuff I was really happy the flight controller survived, did need to get a new ESC... The Aikon 32pin 35a 4in1 served me well and I love the functions and stability so got the same one again. Love how the made it pnp.
This is my first build where I hooked up the white wire from the Falkor to the cam control, didn't need to setup anything it just works perfect!
For the vtx I went on a budget and got a Foxeer Cleartx2, am kinda bummed that I couldn't get the TBS pro32, will get it in the future tho. The Cleartx2 works okay but doesn't support soft serial like the TBS and needs his own uart. The power seems less than the specs say, doesn't get the range my tbs does. Am happy with Foxeer having great service, getting a new vtx and hope that it solves the range issue.
The Foxeer Falkor deserved some more testing so got the same as my previous build just before the released the Predator V4. I do Like the way it displays the colors but it is a bit hard to see some gaps and things like that. Might switch to the Predator in the future. Will keep using the mini cams, they are way superior over micro cams.
Antennas wasn't a hard one, bought a bit to much lollipops lol so just used one of those. Do love the TBS Stubby pro that just got released and already had a weak spot for VAS, the next step will be a big antenna upgrade on the quad and goggles.
The 2 brotherhobby's on the back survived, being on a budget made the choice of getting 2 more was easy so am running the R6 2207 2700kv again. Really like them so this isn't a punishment.
After getting some Johnyfpv props to test out I'm totally hooked on the flow and control. will be using them alot this season, they are really impressive and fly so freaking good.
This build left me speechless, it flies so incredibly smooth and has lots of control. The handling is simply amazing. The weight is perfect for flow and freestyle, it gives enough momentum for all the tricks. Already crashed it hard, like really nasty and it didn't give a crap.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Did you have to use spacers to for the Falkor mini? nice build by the way. I've only flown mine line of soft since my second furious FPV battery connector died on me when i went to maiden my quad.
hey! yeah needed to use the bracket that comes along with the mini cams. the Aikon also fits full size cams.
that sucks! hate when simple things ruin the maiden
