I built the green Marmotte first, loved it so much, so I built the red Marmotte as a backup. They're almost identical. The green one has a Caddx SDR2 1200TVL CMOS Micro FPV Camera and iFlight Xing 2208 1800kv motors. The red one has a Foxeer Arrow Micro Pro 600TVL CCD FPV Camera and iFlight Xing 2207 1800kv motors. The rest of the gear used is the same in both. The Xing motors are buttery smooth, excellent power, and can be flown on 4-6s if you want. Now if you fly these motors on 4s, it's not going to be fast, probably feel a little lacking, but would be great for tight proximity stuff.
These two quads fly identical even with the slight stator size difference in the motor and the tune from the green one works in the red one. To date these are the best flying quads I have, the best quads I've ever flown for that matter, and I can't find a bad thing to say about the Marmotte so far. I did go with the space grade carbon which as it turns out is so stiff that instead of having that little bit of flex and twist that is seen in standard carbon so it's actually breaking easier as a result. Armattan has decided to stop using the space grade carbon for the time being. I'm sure they will be doing further test which could bring it back one day.
These quads fly great, the premium price of the frame is worth it just from the flight characteristics alone, but the lifetime warranty also helps one spend that kind of coin on a frame. I will be flying Armattan Marmotte's from here on out. The camera cage is the best part of the quad. Go get your Marmotte, you won't regret it.
Here is the Maiden flight video, nothing to crazy here, just a lazy flight, getting a feel for how it flys, and having a little bit of fun with my flying buddy, at his expense of course. Enjoy
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Hey man I see you're also running a buzzer setup with 3 pins. You wouldn't happen to be running a Vifly Finder 2? Mine is beeping at random, can't quite figure it out.
It has to be wired just like this diagram shows.
