I started out just trying to rebuild my broken QAV-CodRed and make a little park freestyle hopper on 3S. However, once I tried a 4S battery the punch got a little addictive. The 3200Kv seems low, but on 4S it's more than enough and solidly controllable. I felt like 3800+ was a little wild and onry. The place its noticeable is when coming out of a fall with medium throttle there is a tad or propwash. The higher Kvs seem to mitigate that a bit, but its ok I don't fly in a way that requires it much.

I had to change virtually nothing for the tune, which was odd. No filters, no D term, nothing. I fly on about 667 max anyway.

Be aware if you are translanting motors from another quad onto this frame, that the 20x20 is in the back of the frame. This means that at least 2 motors wires may be a little short. I figures when or if they go out I'll put the new ones up front so I can cut them to length. The current state of the build is to fly though, not look like a show build.

You can see its maiden flight here:

Weight without batter is 174g with just comes in at 249g.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
