I wanted to see if I could build a quad using only parts from Amazon Prime. I wanted to make the quad under 250 grams but using larger motors than 11xx. This was my attempt. I think the weakest part here is the frame at $22 but I wanted a "traditional" looking quad. I haven't built a quad yet but these parts are on the way. Let me know how I screwed up or where I could have done better. Checked these same parts but from banggood and I would save about $60 if I was patient. Yikes! With the 850mah 4s I got about 220g AUW.
Post Build Notes:
I built went as good as you could expect for a first time. While messing with mounting the antenna I tried to unplug the MMCX connector and it jerked all the wires and pulled the pad off the vtx feed from the flight controller. I decided to bypass the FC OSD and just put the video from the cam directly into the vTX. Works ok, but I am going to replace the FC at some point. I didn't connect the rx telemetry correctly. I should have used the uninverted pads from my rx. I still need to weight this and see if it's under 250g.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

i reluctantly just ordered one of these frames and was curious what kind of punch and flight times youre getting? did you manage to get it under 250grams?
I don't have super accurate scales at work. But I weight this with the 650mah 4s and it was right around 200g. I haven't been able to test a full flight for flight times yet.
i ended up completing my build with this frame yesterday. with a 650mah battery and 1507 motors it comes in at 248 grams. with hard freestyle i get 4 minutes of flight time. it is a pretty heavy frame but does the job for now.
