UPDATE 5-13-20:
ditched the two extra bits of carbon and the standoffs for the toothpick setup in lieu of just a printed canopy/camera mount. Also recently upgraded the camera to the toothless nano starlight camera.
I was going to try the baby ratel as well but unfortunately Ive been burned by banggood for the last time. Shipment was entirely stomped, one camera was actually literally broken in half. First run out with the new camera Im having some wierd DVR issues and some rolling image on the rapidfire, so that will have to be resolved either through learning the rapidfire better or changing a setting in the camera.
Waiting for the new HQ prop 3x1.2x4 props to come into stock as Im pretty sure those will be an ideal option for these super light quads. At the moment the HQ prop 3x1.5x3 are my favorite option for this build. If I were to be trying for maximum flight time Id probably run either the 3018 or 3020 biblades.
After building two new 75x's and putting jazzmavericks 48khz with betaflight 4.2 I am convinced that I need to put all that on this quad immediately.
Video evidence of flights will be uploaded and linked whenever I can get not only flight but editting time.
----Build plans that never saw the light of day. Those 1103 motors are now on a 75x HD build ----
*My version of a 3" toothpick. This is definitely a stage 1 build just to see how 2s and these 1103 motors feel on this build until I sell the 8 1103 motors I have. Currently uses steel m2 screws that will be changed to titanium in the near future. I put the battery cover (4g) on the scale to approximate the led racewires ill use to lengthen the 1103 motor wires as well as the frsky xm+ rx unit.
Future plans are to put some 1204 or 1303 motors on this to run primarily 525mah HV 3s' and go to a nano camera of some sort (runcam nano 3 or caddx turbo eos2 or foxeer predator v4), axii micro antenna, and a dvr vtx board whether it be the nameless or the eachine unit (gotta love actual holes for mounting instead of just notches).*
having flown something with a similar auw. i suggest the gemfan 3016x3 prop. im running 1106 6000kv motors on the same battery. performance and control for days. super quiet compared to the hq 3x2 props
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

How do you like those motors? Would you be able to tell me how much thrust they pull on 4s?
Ive never run these on more than 3s. With the 3in prop and low AUW of this quad Im pretty sure Ive never hit anything above 80% throttle.
