This looks like a great little setup. I'm hoping to get into the hobby and I like the idea of starting with a whoop. I have a noob question though, what needs to be done with the receiver (the x6b) for this build? Does it connect with the beecore somehow?

It does not connect to the BeeCore, it just came bundled with the RC. The BeeCore has integrated FLYSKY or FRSKY or DSM2.

Hello wbrowne, you will not get an x6b on a micro quad, it will be too big/heavy. Go for an A8S instead.
Cheers!

Have you flown a real, brand name Inductrix? How would you say they compare?

SirWhoopAlot   Jan 16, 2017

Parts haven't arrived yet, I'll let you know how they compare once I fly it! I have flown an Inductrix with the RTF package remote, Spektrum DX6 and DX6i - and I've flown the stock setup as well as with an EF-01 cam on it - and LOVED it! Can't wait to see what stronger motors and a lighter camera do for performance on the f3 flight controller. It was already butter flying the stock inductrix, I have a feeling this build will be far superior...!

It's built, and the motors are FAST. Can't really compare to the brand name since my version is much quicker. After some tuning in CleanFlight I'm very happy with the way it flies, might increase my yaw rate a bit more but then it's good!
