So here is the build of the greatest quad I have ever flown. The DJI FPV System has really gotten the juices flowing again for the hobby. Digital HD FPV is the future, and I am totally on board with the hype train. My style of flying is fairly chill; basically I like to fly low, under, and around stuff. This quad delivered that in spades. The motor and prop combo also delivered a 7 minute flight time on a 1550 4S. The amazing video quality got the best of me, and I got cocky and stupid. I upgraded the antennas on the quad and goggles, but did not account for the stock DJI R/C transmitter. I put too many trees between me and the aircraft and suffered a total loss, my first total loss in 9 years of flying. Please learn from my mistake if you are flying the DJI transmitter and remember that your R/C link is on 5.8ghz and it will not have the same penetration as 2.4ghz or 900mhz. I will build a new Mark4, the frame itself is fantastic. AUW with a 1550 4S was 575 grams. Thanks!
Hi brother can you go deep into this "Please learn from my mistake if you are flying the DJI transmitter and remember that your R/C link is on 5.8ghz and it will not have the same penetration as 2.4ghz or 900mhz"
im on my way to build the same frame with dji fpv system but still stick to my taranis with tbs crossfire
been watching your failsafe kwad, i feel you man :'(
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Did you find it in the water? I'm thinking in that empty space inside the frame, cut blocks of styrofoam and put them in so it would "float" int hat scenario. Most electronics once you dry them 100% out in rice, will work again if they were low voltage. Dunno about ESC and the lipo tho. I
II just might go with this build if there's not too much soldering to the FC involved... Was it tail heavy?
Did you ever build a replacement?
