This is my third budget 5-inch copter project I have submitted this year. The frame is a chinese iflight XL5 V2 clone, while the engines, ESC, FC, camera and VTC are elements from the Eachine, Tyro109 models. Flysky 8ch receiver. Geprc 5040 propellers, cheap and great at freestyle.
The frame of this copter is relatively light (115 g), but most importantly, extremely durable and resistant to accidents. This copter will ultimately be used for daily exercises of new aerial figures, so the priority was its endurance and I hope that it will cope with this task ;)
I used the arms mounting in the opposite way than in the original, which gave me a full 30 mm space inside the frame for comfortable installation of the stack consisting of 3 elements. Thanks to the built-in and compact design, it protects electronics inside.
The total cost of its construction is about 120 USD.
hey bud, like the build an the inveryed arms.. hows the vtx antenna do with that foam around the base???
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
