I had previously built out a STRIX Screech frame, and really liked the result, so when I recently went through a phase of upgrading machines to 5S/6S capable builds, I felt the Screech deserved a complete rebuild.
And so I broke out the printer and attempted to make it as heavy as possible, apparently. Still, as a 5S freestyle machine, the extra weight isn't all bad, the Screech frame is a lightweight to begin with, and anyhow it does fly very nicely, which is what really counts.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

nice double color prints there. What printer do you own ? ( or modified )...
( I use ender3 with Hemera extruder, silence board+color touchscreen, double z-axis and HIWIN linear rails... )
So all of this stuff was printed with a very basic Monoprice Select Plus printer - I added code to the GCODE files by hand to stop the print and allow me to change the filament. But this was a fiddly manual process and I did get it wrong more than once and so had to abandon long-running prints. Definitely something for the obsessive / compulsive among us.
But I recently replaced my Monoprice, which I had had for at least 6 years, with a Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro - which is still a basic, entry-level printer, but what counts as a basic, entry-level printer 6 years later is so much better, so much more impressive. It's a great machine.
Yes, it is... Especially for tpu, and petg.. I rarely use pla anymore.
But I changed to hemera extruder for more reliable prints. And therefore I needed hiwin rails because of the extra weight... And with the bltouch it's as easy as a press of a single button.
My ender 3 was one of the early edition.
