What's the dry weight?

stikku   Oct 29, 2019

All up weight is 670g. Lipo is 212g. Gopro is 74g. Don't know what the TPU parts weigh.

thats alot of TPU to hold in that session!

stikku   May 31, 2020

Yeah, kinda overkill. Haven't found a nicer/more secure alternative yet.

Nice Build! I just built a 4s version with the "Mr Steele lite" frame- awsome frame to build with- I'm going to get another one for 6s- already have the spare Kiss V2 fc and 25a 4in1 esc sitting on the bench- just waiting for frame availability... It'll be my first 6s build- looking forward to flying it. Just noticed that your farme price is $274.00 ??? And the regulator board comes with the kit along with the OSD did it not?

Thanks for sharing, got the same build, but I have a question, why you wired audio cable (the white one) on apex osd with vtx control?
Sorry I'm new in this hobby, first build ;)

What do you get in terms of flight time with something like this?

stikku   Dec 25, 2019

If I'm pushing it hard I get about 4-4.5mins. Just crusing is around 6mins.

How many amps do the motors draw? I cant find info on amps with different props and efficiency charts. Its weird, i bought a 4n1 30amp ESC but would like to know the stats on these motors. I just picked up a set from get fpv.

Any problems so far running 6s on the 25a 4in1?

stikku   Dec 10, 2019

None so far.

How come you only build good stuff, and don't have a profile full of trash builds.

My marmotte build needs KISS and that bardsmell board is going in the bin.

How heavy is it including the Battery? Do you plan to mount a gopro? If so, which mount will you use? Br. J

stikku   Oct 28, 2019

All up weight with session 5 and TPU mount is 670g.

I have added a RTF wight table to my own Apex build .. see: I ended up with 688g including Battery and GoPro as on my pictures. Can you post a picture of your GoPro TPU mount? I designed my own and printed it on my Ultimaker, but I don't know if I can really trust in its durability as it seems to be hard to print TPU .. or it's because it's the first time I have printed something with TPU :-)

I just added a photo showing how I mounted the Session 5. It consists of a TPU couch and a flat bottom TPU Session Case that has battery strap loops on it. The Case is strapped to the couch, and the couch is screwed to the standoffs with a single zip tie also strapping it down.

This guide will walk you through the process of building your first FPV quad. The goal with this design was to build a low-cost, lightweight quad, yet powerful enough to safely carry a GoPro in close proximity areas. I chose these parts to minimize the amount of soldering at no cost to the quality. A typical build requires around 30 solders while this only needs 25. It's not a huge difference, but..

In late 2019 DJI made inroads into the FPV scene with their remarkable low-latency digital system. It gave us a 720p video feed with latency on-par with the status quo, analog video. Traditionally we've used analog video systems for low-latency video, but the video quality is far from ideal. It's a trade-off we've been willing to accept for the control. Now we've got the best of both worlds and what..
