Here is my first post on RotorBuilds,
I will show you the physical and material improvements I made on my x220hv.
These changes are based on my experience and my tastes, I'm not here to force you to change this or that piece on your x220HV
First, I find it essential to change the flight controller and the 4 in 1 by Mamba stack F405 40A stack, the original stack (the x220hv) is much too fragile for my taste: the Mosfets ESC burned very quickly.
The Mamba f405 is very reliable, I recommend it.
I also add the capacitor provided with the mamba, it is put at the input of the power supply of the xt60
Second, it is the VTX antenna that seems logical to change, it breaks during the first crash and it does not have a sufficient scope for my taste.
So I opted for lollipop 3 (sold by 2 on bangood)
One of them is on the drone and the other is put on my EV800D instead of the original omnidirectional.
To be able to put the lollipop on the Eachine x220hv, I replace the cable of the vtx by a MMCX TO SMA.
Third, i have to change the straps because these are too brittle and not aesthetic enough.
Iflight straps are much stronger and robust
Fourthly, I "fix" the antennas of the R-XSR on rislan that I then covered with a heat-shrinkable sheath, I find it more convenient than I let them hang.
Fifth, I put nylon gain on my motor wires to protect them in case of crash and also for the aesthetic side.
Sixthly, I put red propellers HQPROP DURABLE PROP 5.1X4.6X3 POPO PC for purpose the red color of my drone.
Here, that's about all about the tuning of my x220hv, I hope that you will like it.
do not hesitate to comment and say what you think.
The x220hv is the only drone I have, tell me if I managed to give him my touch of personality!
Thank's !
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
