Have you had any issues with motors spinning up to max with minimal throttle. I have the same stack an i get this. Tried everything i know to fix it and nothing seems to work.

OK Thanks for this. I will try it this weekend if the weather is fine. I just want to fly this quad. Been sitting there now for about a month gathering dust.

ShakDiesel, Managed to get it working on the weekend. I had a bit of an issue where it wouldn't Arm. Re-Flashed it and it all works fine. Really happy with it now. Thanks for the assistance.

If you want to have some real fun with this thing, slap a 6S lipo (550mah - 650mah) on top of it and let her rip! Before you do that, let's do a quick set up for 6S. Download the latest Betaflight Configurator nightly build and update to 10.7. On 10.7 there's a section below in the PID tab for what we want to do. Just copy your current PID profile to one you're less worried about (Prof 2 or 3). Then, input 6 for battery cells. This will tell BF that when a 6S battery is plugged in to switch to this PID profile. Now, add a motor output limit to account for the extra power the 6S comes with. This will reduce the output to your motors. I would put 67% for now, and work that number up as you get comfortable flying 6S on a 4S quad. Enjoy!

I'm pretty excited to try it out. Really hoping it fixes my issues when using heavier batteries. The quad would flip out when using a heavy battery (1050 4s, 850 6s). After some really painful trial and error, i found that the RPM filtering was the cause, and lowering the filtering frequency made it a lot better. I suppose if I really wanted to get it spot on, i'd have to use the blackbox logs to find the exact frequencies the noise is showing up.

gecko 4inch on 6s 550 batts at 70% throttle limit is now my favorite quad. the most fun ive had flying in years. i rarely touch my other quads now

70% throttle limit? do you do motor output limit at all?

How are the community presets working out for you?

I'm interested too

they were alright, not a whole lot of prop wash but they didn't work well with RPM filtering. I switched to the sliders with a PD gain of 0.8 and a stick feel of 1.2 and it is very smooth now.

My kind of drone 👍 Ditch the cable sleeves! Can't even see them on a 3"er 🔬

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
