This is an example of a DRSL spec quad. If you'd like to participate in our spec series, please make sure your drone meets the following criteria.

Spec requirements:

  • Frame: Project 399 Practice Rig (3D prints allowed)
  • Motors: Brother Hobby Avenger (1250kv)
  • Props: HQ Prop Durable 7x4x3 Tri-Blade 7"
  • Battery: 5S (2200mAh or more)
  • Weight: 1280g minimum

Other:

  • Smart Audio, or Tramp Telemetry are HIGHLY recommended (you will be changing channels often)
  • We recommend the Hobbywing 60amp ESC. It's been proven to perform well under sustained, high amp draw situations
  • We recommend getting slightly longer screws for the motors (the ones that come with the BH motors are a bit short for this frame, but will work for awhile)

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
