This is a quad built from leftovers I found in the drawers. I have always wanted to build this type of frame, and I wasn't disappointed. It is easy to build (at least compared to my other super-slim quads) and good looking :-).
One weird thing is the antenna mount supplied with the frame. It is super-thick, hence there's no pigtail that can be mounted on it and still has enough thread left to screw antenna on. Hence I made it slimmer by cutting a bit of it, but still the situation is not ideal (the pigtail is slipping when one screws the antenna on). I'm going to replace the mount with an alternative one found on Thingiverse for TBS-style pigtail, but even that needs to be modified (as again there's too much material around the end of the pigtail).
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
