The Ummagawd Acrobrat Duo 3" HD frame is IMHO the best 3" frame ever made. Tommy Tibajia aka Ummagawd is a genius and this frame is his best masterpiece (so far).
I've designed some parts to be printed in TPU and also used some really good designed parts I found on thingiverse.com. You'll find all links to the 3D models in the part list.
hi there man,
Great build! i'm currently building my own, and i was looking for your acrobrat "backpack" for the xt30 and the dji antenna mounts, but cannot find the one you use. can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Love this frame. How is the flight time with emax 1606? I wanted to fly this frame so bad I slapped on some 1505 3600kv with HQ 3x3x3 and 3x2.5x3 (4S 650mah). Flies nice, but flight time is shy of 2.5 min. I'm stuck between BrotherHobby VY 1507, T-motor 1507. Or just jump straight into 1606 (think reviews on the motors running hot put me off). I fly mostly freestyle.
Thanks!
Flight time with a Tattu R-Line 850mAh 4S is 3:30 - 5min. It depends on what you are doing 😉
The same applies to the development of heat. The Emax are getting warm to hot. So far I was always able to touch them after every flight. That is OK for me.
A 1507 motor has more volume than a 1606, so a T-motor 1507 might be more powerful than a Emax 1606. I can't say how it will affect flight time, but I suspect it would be shorter with a 1507.
Btw, here is a flight video from last weekend:
@MakeitHappen same frame, same motors. def runs hot. i actually came here to see what others were using the rs1606 with just so happens to be one in the same. i may or may not find an excuse to buy new motors
"same frame, same motors" are no criterias. Too much heat development is all about (wrong) PID settings.
disagree. if multiple people have the same hardware configuration with different PIDs but all overheat, its hardware
mine get hot sitting on the bench connected to betaflight (testing motor beeps). it almost caught my lipo on fire. think that is related to PIDs?
I have no heat issues, everything is in normal range.
