My modification of the LeDrone Club MOD-L frame setup.
Only been able to essentially test hover and do a couple circles around my townhouse. Still have to make a gopro lite + insta360 Go holder for this setup. Im stoked on how its coming out thought.
I got over excited and had to see what a little bit of punch was like. Storage charge batteries for a quick couple pop outs.
And here are some full packs and a motor killing crash. Once we back to flyin Ill be trying this out with the insta360 go and my fully cased gopro powered through usb-c
Quick update 8-28-20: I got curious and bolted in a full gopro to the mount for a quick test hover. It does it, hovers at about 30% throttle with a full gopro and a 1050mah 4s pack. Pictures below for weight with all that! When I find some time between selling a house and moving to a new one, full time job, wrangling a 2.5yo, and teaching a college class Ill try and get some flytime and edit up a video for yall. Im suppose to go chase some mx bikes soon, expecting to give this a shot to see how quick it is.
Update 8-14-21: I havent flown this much at all and the tinkering side of me has been itching to do this. So Im taking these motors and building a Pavo30. Then Ill replace these motors with some 1804 3500kv Xnovas. No weight penalty but the stator volume jumps from about 883 cu mm to 1018 cu mm. Ultimately this is primarily just a tinker experiment to see how things react. This quad is also getting the TBS Sixty9 setup on it to clean up the wiring and build but also give me a little more vtx strength. To compliment that vtx Ill be putting a longer antenna on to try and minimize the signal blockage from battery+camera payload.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
