This is my take on the toothpick. Solid Unibody Frame with 4 mm thick carbon fiber and large diameter motors just for fun.  I took her out yesterday and at first it didn't really impress me, but I immediately wanted to charge all my 2s and 3s batteries and keep flying. People always compare their toothpicks flying like a much bigger quads. It doesn't fly like a 5 inch or even a 4 inch. It has different flight characteristics. It swims through the air effortlessly, yaw spins are instant, rolls and flips with authority. Compact and only at 145 grams with a 3s 450 mah lipo. With roughly 1588 grams of thrust on tap - its achieving a power to weight ratio of 10 to 1. In my experience 12 to 1 is Nirvana, but 10 to 1 is not too bad either. What makes this quad so enticing is the small form factor. It can do all the acro moves that the bigger quads can do.  Its very fast and stable and legal to fly almost anywhere. That's the attraction to the toothpick form.
Small, Capable, Quiet and Legal.

You are right, but I was hoping that this board had better quality mosfets that would give me a huge headroom. Unfortunately I crashed it bad during the second day of flying and Killed the gyro.  Next one will have 1204's and a lighter frame.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
