BetaFPV 75x Toothpick 2s

Hand built BetaFPV 75x converted to HX100 Toothpick frame.
This build rips hard on 2s packs.

47g dry weight
78g AUW
Osd reports max 15A from small punch outs.
Roughly 4 mins flight time
Caddx camera looks great.
Only problem with parts supplied is the pigtail/quick disconnect that comes with camera had +&- wires swapped causing some confusion when i first plugged in battery. I may be only one with this issue.

I don't have and 3s or 4s packs to test but from my research 11000kv motors on more that 2s is not a good idea.
Motors were meant to be used with 48mm quad props. I have not personally tested this.

This thing moves about as fast as my 5" around my small yard. Granted, I'm not the best pilot and not pushing my 5" that hard.

If you bought this from RDQ or BetaFPV you would get 1103 8000kv motors and the Runcam Nano v2 instead. Their dry weight would be about 43g. Mine may be heavier because of using zip ties and pen ink tubes to protect antennae.

I don't have any uploading tips but I wanted to say thanks for sharing your thoughts. I've had the 75X for a year and a half and seeing your conversion gave me the ambition to pick up the frame and props to make the swap. Really looking forward to getting my parts so I can start playing expermenting :)

Got my parts yesterday afternoon and worked non stop to get it all swapped over from the 75x ducted frame to the toothpick fram. I had to get creative with my duel stack but it works for now. I ended up mounting the ESC and flight controller to the bottom of the frame and then attached the camera/vtx to the flight controller through the hole on the top effectivly sandwiching the frame between the two. I ended up removing the small piece of foam that was stuck to the vtx since the first flight resulted in the camera disconnecting. My XM+ receiver wound up sitting right behind the camera in the space under the canopy. Slapped some umagrip to the ESC and using a rubbergand to hold the battery which gives me a dry weight of 42g and 63g with a 350mAh betaflight 2s battery. I've got 9 300mAh 2s nano-tech batteries which I was able to get well over 3 minutes of flight on. Best part is I have zero washing out like I had with the ducted frame before!! Thanks again s3ptum for inspiring me to finally switch the 75x over

It definitely feels like its got more punch and its wayyy faster! I could easily fly it in my house before, I wouldn't dare try now lol its just so quick! I plan to go out and fly for a bit today I'll try to get a good video to share some of the performance I see.

If anyone has some tips on uploading photos or the location of the photo upload requirements (which i cannot find) plz let me know. The pics here are from my phone and i have much better quality photos from my Nikon I'd like to share but they do not seem to want to upload. IDK if its a size (mb or px) thing or what.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
