I wanted to build a TBS Source one, its a cheap frame and built decently enough to withstand some crashes. Initially i bought Lumineir f7 lux mini stack with the pro ESC, but the Flight controller has a very sensitive gyro and it was bad from the get. Get fpv stands behind their products and refunded me no questions, when i was at their warehouse the guy mentioned they had a bad batch and over 60% of those specifi FC were bad. It cause me to crash my quad on the first flight, so i had to replace some parts on the frame.
On the second go around i bought the T-MOTOR F7 stack with the 45a ESC, my KV was going to be low and my max Current craw would be 37amps, so 45amp with 55amp burst is overkill, but i wanted this ESC because the testing shows it has very low noise. For the camera i went with Foxeer full size and 1200tvl, I will say i am on the fence im not sure if i like it or not it seems to have some percievable lag time during flights and also some rolling shutter effect. I am running the camera NTSC currently i may switch and see if it helps. The VTX is the relaible TBS Unify Pro 5G8, i fly alot by myself and 800mw Is nice when flying obstacles and buildings. Also i get good video feed far away, the only down side is the weight and the size, its huge. My second go to is the RUSH mini tank which also has 800mw and it actually outputs more than 800mw when running. This stack is very nice, easy to soldered up and plug and play with the FC. The only thing i had issues with was the 5v and VBAT, you are supposed to bridge a couple pads that would feed the pads indicated on the fc but in the pics i ended up having to solder the wires to the two pads i was supposed to bridge. it would not work otherwise. This quad was updated to 4.1.3 on betaflight and i am running RPM filtering, it flies very well. I have my filter sliders turned way down and the stock tune is decent. I increased my P&D gain to get rid of some propwash and a slight bounce back and al is well in rip town. I get 5-7 min with 48pwm and my RPM filtering, which is very good.
I am happy with this build, its a great freestyle set up and efficient. I finally have it tuned and it has ZERO propwash and its super smooth. This quad is gonna kill all my other quads flight time. Its an absolute pleasure to fly.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
