I love my Cinepro 4k that I shoehorned an Air Unit into, so I thought I'd try the 3" version of the frame. Because I wanted to mount the Air Unit centrally I couldn't go for the same Stable F7 stack from Geprc, as the stack connects together with pins, so therefore I went with the Iflight f7 dji mini stack laid down adjacent to each other on the bottom plate . Motors are 1206 4500kv Geprc version seen in the Cygnet 3.

The only problem encountered was the height of the air unit on top of the single layer FC/ESC. I am going to have to find some longer countersunk m2 screws and shim the top plate, because at the moment the carbon is flexing when the pins are fully screwed in...

How did you attach the straps to the frame? I got an air unit and I love the cygnet 3. I'm thinking of doing something exactly like this for my first build, but I'm worried I may not be able to make it all fit. I'm also thinking of shortening the stack screws a little bit, maybe filing them down and cutting a little bit off the grommets' height.
How much height would you say the frame was missing for the air unit to sit on the boards' screws without the top plate flexing?
Could you post some more pictures, or maybe a video of it?

excellent build! exactly what i am going for but at a 2inch version of the gep-cp frame.
Does the Air unit contact the stack ?do you think that raising the top plate`s height is going to affect its flight characteristics?
Does it fly well enough?

yo man, sorry not been on the site for ages. with the 3d printed bracket there's plenty of room if the stack is laid flat next to one another. I'm no hot shot pilot, so the 3 inch is pretty fast compared to the 2 inch version.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
