Is there something between a toothpick and a twig? A 'piece of scraggle'?
I was looking to build something light and cheap to fly around the driveway or (outdoor/open) parking lot at work. I had picked up the Eachine Twig 115HD last fall and wasn't really happy with the jello-tastic HD footage so I decided to use the motors, frame, canopy and the AIO board. To keep the weight down I didn't add a separate receiver but instead used the built-in SPI receiver on the CrazyBee board. I also used the Eachine Camera + VTX combo to keep the weight down and this fits perfectly in the Twig 115 canopy!
Added some HQ 65mm props and viola!
The SPI receiver actually performs much better than I thought it would - you're not going to be flying behind buildings but in an outdoor/open parking lot it's fine.
The AUW is 54g and 81g with a 2S 450mAH lipo. A 2S 300mAH lipo would probably be even better (lighter) but I don't have one lying around. You can fly it on 3S but I felt the extra weight wasn't worth it, your mileage may vary.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
