My first build bigger than 5"
This 7" source one will be a long-range build after I add GPS, purchase diversity goggles, and purchase the TBS tango II, but the range is long enough for me to improve my FPV skills (I Started FPV Jan 2020, after a year of LOS).
3D parts were printed using ABS filament, and the stl files were taken from Thingiverse (Excellent 3D design by: ggmaniack, ps915, jaisor, jlaszlo, StanTang986 & FrancisLM)
The motors have some serious balls, the props feel like monsters compared to 5" props, and it sounds amazing.
It really gives me the feeling of "Holy crap, I just covered a LOT of ground at low throttle."
If you are hesitant to jump into larger quads, start with a 7" Source One frame.
TIP: i bought a DJI Osmo action cam from MicroCenter for $300. They have dropped the price even more since then (like 270 now?)
My screen has been smashed since the second week of use, but that $30 replacement plan will come in handy after a few more slams.

Dear Viewers: This build was inspired by my road trips to snowboard in CO in the winter. I'm hoping to do some long range follow-cam next season (2020-2021.) If you snowboard and fly too, leave a comment if you want to plan out a trip!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
