This is a great race frame, but I'm just not a racer kind of pilot. I bought the frame as a replacement for my first build which only flew LOS. This build was mostly built out of cheap/recycled parts from that LOS build, and it helped me transition into FPV.

VTX: I switched back and forth between the AKK FX2 and RDQ mach3 after experiencing heat issues. Turning down the mw output on either vtx, and insulating the antenna-to-frame connection helped.

RX: Instead if using the chunky housing on the radio rX, I disassembled it and put a big piece of shrink-tube around the board to make it more low-profile. This weakened the antenna-to-board connections, and these cheapo RXs are pretty much shot when that solder joint breaks. Probably wasn't worth the effort overall.

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
