The Source One is a very easy frame to build on, and from all accounts seems to be plenty durable, which I definitely need.

My goal was to put together a reasonably priced yet durable 6s 5-inch quad. I feel like I achieved the reasonably priced part, however durability is still to be determined because it has been raining cats and dogs today. I did conformal coat, but I am not willing to risk it just yet.

There are really only a couple of challenges that I feel should be pointed out.

• I used a large capacitor which sits on top of the VTX.. I'm not too keen on that, and it was a bit difficult to fit correctly. I worry that it might be broken by one of the battery straps.
• The Mamba ESC has a strange layout to the solder pads. Each ESC has one solder pad on the outside of the standoff hole, and two on the inside. Its weird.
• I had to VHB the receiver to the top of the flight controller, which I didn't want to do. Much rather have it stuck to the frame somewhere.
• The Caddx Ratel Starlight doesn't come with a micro -> full size adapter. That set me back a few days.

There are a couple of things I would do differently in the next iteration of this build.

• Get a purpose printed TPU part to attach the pigtail to that sits at an angle between the back standoffs.
• Use a 30x30 VTX as there is PLENTY of room above the flight controller, and it would provide more space behind the stack for the capacitor, receiver, etc.
• There is another mamba stack that is very similar, but with a 50a 4-in-1. The ESC has a more traditional layout for the solder pads, so I would probably pay the extra $10 or so for that one.

I am using the GoPro Hero 5 Black because I already have it. I may spring for the new Runcam Orange in order to shave off ~100g. Right now it sits at over 700g AUW which seems a bit portly.
