I would highly recommend 1300kv or less motors and a larger stator size for a nine inch... This is like putting a stock Mazda MX-5 engine with monster truck wheels, theres not enough torque, your guaranteed to burn them out, and they won.t be at all efficient.

What cell count do you fly this with?

FrozenFoxFPV   Mar 01, 2020

Only 4s so far, but it can handle up to 6s. I'm planning to use a 5s lion once I get around to ordering the cells.

Using 1700kv with 9" props, i wouldn't recommend going above 4s. Above that the props will be trying to break the sound barrier which won't get you any more speed than 4s.

I don't plan on using it for racing, just long flight time. I want to use 5s to bring down the current load on the escs once it's loaded up with batteries

Will those motors handle a 9 inch prop ?

yup, no problems, plenty of power!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
