After smashing skelly 7 to bits I was devestaited . I really liked flying her. .
So the thinking cap went on and i decided on a little experiment. carbon and alloy arrows glue ,chanel and bolts.
Its not pretty but it is strong and light. The carbon arrow shafts fit nicely inside the alloy ones with space for glue, laminaited in this way makes the shafts verry stiff and light.

Very industrial! Looks like it can take a real beating. Well... I got the motors, ESCs, and FC wired up today on the micro OCT-X8. Oddly enough... I ran into a custom offering for a big one (X8. Gonna build it for the APC 6045), and so putting this one together is getting me ready for that! I'll have the micro posted by next Friday.

Wow, pineapples too! They are not fake plastic, are they?! 😜
Do you have turtle mode working with this motor placement?

Turtle mode is the one feature i stay away from. Because the dirt in this area is iron dust , Flopping the kwad around on the ground would fill everything with electricly conductive crap.
But yes turtle mode would work.

Interesting! I would not take a drone in the air without turtle mode! Yes, it packs electronics with chopped grass but at least I can get my drone back from roofs, trees, etc.
Because you fly in a harsh environment like that have you tried conformal coating? It should help especially with ESCs if you had any issues. I conformal coat everything because l always crash into water and never burnt anything after I started using that stuff.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
