Solleva frame from Falcon Multirotors, this has been on my desk for months waiting for a stack. I finally picked up a mamba 30x30 50amp (after previously abusing and liking a 20x20 25amp) and then it all came together in one night!

The frame is basically jenga.. both before, and after you bolt it together. The good is that the body/center drops completely out of the arms. which means when wiring up the motors, the body also isn't attached to the arms. the vertical arms definitely stick up a bit more in the way of the soldering arm, but nothing you can't figure out with some careful planning and some tweezers. Building the frame itself without instructions was definitely fun too!!

My current setup is 4S/5S 6" on 2207 2400kv. It should be plenty fast on 4S, but if I get it dialed in on 4S I went overkill on the ESC so I can try 5S and just.. well.. be an absolute rocketship.

I thought it might be way heavier with all of the different carbon parts, but it ended up only being 359gm dry!!! which is pretty insane. I did go with much lighter motors than usual here, so if I end up needing more oomph for 6" props later I may throw some 2506 or 2507 motors on there just to make it absolutely thrash the air.

It has been hover tested/maiden LOS and it works. the pids def need some work. If I get a PID tune I like I will definitely throw that on here at some point as well.

Some flight footage (before I got the PIDS sorted)

I'll post my PIDS later

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
