By DoubleJackOnTap on Apr 09, 2020This started out as a budget build Cinewhoop, but like most builds I blew up the budget. For the most part, everything I wanted was out of stock. I looked at the Diatone Taycan, the Iflight Bumblebee and Green Hornet and the new HGLRC Veyron, but all the frames were out of stock or backordered. Then I found the Reptile and thought I could manage to save some $$ since the frame is 1/2 the price of the others. Well that lasted until the FC and motors. I figured since I saved so much on the frame I could upgrade. But that logic continued for every component except the camera. I intended on using extra parts that I already had but for one reason or another I convinced myself that I should buy new ones. Nevermind that I have 4 extra VTXs, 3 extra cameras, various motors, ect.
I did plan on the analog build for this frame, but like the fact that it is DJI compatible once I decide to make that leap.
Installed BF 4.1 with rpm filtering and completed the maiden flight. So far so good. Still messing with the GoPro settings to find the best combination for ReelSteady.
Hi! I'm thinking about doing one like this. I've noticed that the version 1 is quiter than most cinewhoops. Does that apply to this build (I mean, having in consideration the added EVA foam, etc..)?
Besides, what's the flight time you can get with it?
You're feedback will be very much appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!
I dont have any other cinewhoops to compare the noise level. It is quieter than all my 5" quads and about the same as my normal 3" quad. Its not quiet but not obnoxious either.
For flight times I average between 5-6 minutes cruising around on. 1500 mah. I typically land at 3.7- 3.8 volts. It could go longer if pushing the battery.
