Flies OK, props are hard to find, frame is all the time out of stock so I had to take it in green.
Maybe needs bigger motors but I wanted a 5 inch toothpick so I am sticking with 1207 6000kv for the time being.
I use 2 packs of 650mah 2S in series to get 4S.

I recommend going for diamond AIO whoop style board, not 20mm double stack like I did. It was challenging to fit the rx and vtx in the receiver. I ended up using double tape on the back of the camera to fix the rx and hanged the vtx in an odd position. fantastic vtx by the way. I highly recommend this model for any build.

It flies much longer and feels more durable then classic 300 grams 5 inch. But I don't get the same adrenaline rush.

what motors do you think would work best with this build? maybe 1507 motors?

i have no idea, but definetely mine are undersized for performance. 1505 / 1507 / 1408 / 1806 all seem better choices for performance. If I could go back in time I would opt for 1404 or 1505 as weight is my priority over performance (more flight time and more resilient to crash).

There is also a 2004 motor (yes 2004) by brotherhobby that's too new to confirm it's good but the size seems adapted for freestyling (more torque less end speed).

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
