Killbot Mk I - LFH6 Refit

I'd started in on my Killbot project as an exploration in performant minimalism, how to get the most quad <250g. Flying for 20 minutes is great and all, but what's the point when it's just Runcam Hybrid footage? The quad was collecting dust as I'd turned my attention to development of the LoFat Hero 6, and decided it was time to circle back and combine the two projects...

So here it is. The 2s 18650 powered Killbot Mk I, with a pod for the LFH6. The weight comes in over 250g (as expected, I hadn't designed for this configuration) and it's not the most competent freestyler, but it glides along easy and smooth for 12+ minutes at a time.

It might be a little while before I finish up and realease the Killbot design, but more on the LoFat Hero 6 can be found at:

How do you balance the weight between the motors with all the mass at the front. it looks like the batteries would have to be moved back to balance the gopro, front of frame, and fpv cam. great design, any more updates lately?

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
