5 inch Dingo built in spring 2019. The goal for the parts was to be as cheap as possible while still having good enough quality. In terms of durability all parts performed well, as only the only part to break after a whole summer of flying was one propeller locknut.
The one part from this build I would recommend is the Dingo frame. It is cheap, strong and has a smooth design which feels better in reality than on photo. The frame is fairly slim but still has room for components at the center, since the arms connects to the front or back of the body. The arms are also wider where they attach to the body, which I believe is good for to reduce the chance of breaking at the high tension point where the body-plate sandwich begin.
I would not recommend the FS-iA6B receiver, as it is very large. I used it since I had one laying around and had to remove the case to fit it in the build. I used the less known action camera Rollei ActionCam 530 Black. While it is cheaper compared to a modern GoPro Hero, the quality is also lower. It is not terrible and has some fun functionality, but I would not recommend it unless sold for a really low price.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
