Always wanted to try a box frame design, but they all seemed too cumbersome to build or repair. This Switchback frame from FlyFive33 seemed the perfect compromise between a more traditional frame design and the flight characteristics of a box frame people keep talking about. Was really surprised about the weight too even with BFG's. I'm waiting on some XNova Lite 2207 1800 motors which I initially intended to use instead of the Tmotor's but couldn't get a hold of.

Using a full FETtec stack that made a very clean build and has that awesome KISS FW stick feel.

Another question — do you find you give up video clarity with the linear whip vs. running a circular polarized antenna?

Not at all. Up to 4 pilots and on a small to medium track I can't notice a difference TBH. With more pilots I do notice a slight difference especially If there's people with very noisy/cheap VTXs, also I guess it's a by-product of losing that LH/RH separation too... Nonetheless I do run a Singularity if race directors require different polarization for pilots and/or conditions are a bit more challenging video wise. It's about the same weight but the whip wins on durability and ease of mount. It's pretty much indestructible so great for practice and just overall use.

How much more black could this be? The answer is none. None more black.

The ESC could definitely be morrreeee black! Well, sometimes you have to compromise... 😂

Ah yes, the ESC was a major oversight!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
