Got 2 new T-Motor FT5 freestyle frames and decided to build one right away.
This frame is very promising, light but seems really durable. Thank you T-Motor for this!!

I didn't get a lot of tpu parts with the frame, so designed the parts myself.
Air unit is mounted with special mount, that has a cooling vents to guide the air under the unit. I don't know how well this works but it sure looks cool :)
TPU parts available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4401285

Total weight with props and battery strap is 443g (GoPro and Lipo not included)

Any chance you could shoot me a link, I cannot for the life of me find a website for it.

They seem to be out of stock now, last week they had the arms on stock :(

do youthink the 8cm vista cable would be long enough for this frame?

M490fpv   Jul 15, 2020

no it is not. i ordered some 12cm cables myself to get rid of ridiculously short cable. it is easy to change.

Absolutely beautiful. I randomly came across this frame the other day and thought, "I haven't seen one of these built." You crushed it. Your print designs are awesome, great job and thanks for sharing!
What is your preferred method for getting the arm dimensions for the arm gaurds? I take pictures then measure one spot to scale it, then trace all the holes and lines in Fusion 360. Not sure this is the best way, but it has worked ok for me.
Curious to see if I can save time and get more accurate to save filament because of incorrect dimensions.

thank you very much! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘
I usually scan the arms and import the svg to drawing program to have the dimensions. these FT5 arm guards are not a best fit yet, i will adjust the design when i have some time.

How do you scan them??

M490fpv   May 30, 2020

normal table scanner with b&w 600dpi. then quickly clean the pic with paint and convert the jpg file to svg with free online converter. Import to drawing program and scaling the measures ๐Ÿ‘

For the longest time we've been limited to 3 to 4 minutes of flight and lots and lots of batteries. With more efficient motors and frame designs it's now possible to push the envelope much further. This guide will walk you through the process of building a micro long range quad capable of flying 8-30 minutes and more than 4km. The build is moderately difficult, but with the right tools and steady hands..

Until recently GoPros were delegated to larger quads. A typical GoPro weighs around 125g and we've only recently begun to mount them on 3" cinewhoops. Even that is a stress on the motors. Now we've got the "GoPro Lite". Remove the battery, displays and casing and you're left with a small, lightweight board and sensor. Wrap it in protective TPU casing and you've got a 30g micro GoPro. The Hero6 is..
