I've always wanted to build a drone that could carry a DSLR.
little did I know my friend would say "dude, let's put my RED on it, but here we are!
The target camera for this build all along has been the Black Magic pocket 6K.
It has incredible dynamic range, crazy high bitrate, and is relatively cheap.
That said, I've been using a Lumix GH4 as the "crash" cam and just to test basic image quality etc.
**Edit: since this posting i have gotten to fly the Beta RED Komodo on it and it produced some unbelievable footage!
I strapped an entire Mavic 2 Pro to to it here (without the props on it of course..)
It carried a 5 pound weight for about 6 minutes
Here's some fun 3rd person view footage of it flying around a park
Please let me know if you have any questions such as "how the heck do you afford all this??" (hint: I live in a van)

Amazing, but the link of the frame is unavailable (error).
yeah you're not wrong, he stopped making and selling the fame and has released all the 3d prints etc as an open source project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4752630?fbclid=IwAR0NKEzev-pWi-UhzY9dQbJHJ5jjYX4IdC1quDLKuKANjGPee46suhtBBqo
make sure to go to facebook and join "FPVCinelifters" if you plan to build any big guys like this. lots of helpful folks there
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

my only question is where can I get one built and tuned already, I'm good in building but terrible at tuning, I know you can buy a BNF Sicario but not a big fan of the 8 motor drones, but I just want something that looks like my 5 inch squats but on steroids and able to carry like a FX3
i will say the x8 form is much more reliable and im sure you know that.. i dont know anyone selling this rig (other than myself maybe soon)
folks have moved on...
