This build was a bit annoying, but worth it. I bought this frame with the intent of putting in a whoop board and a DVR, but plans changed. Now this is my night flyer. The R3D Shifters frame, although a great idea and an excellent print quality, it is strictly for whoop boards. The ION HD says it supports a 16x16 fc, but it kinda doesn't unless you are only using the fc...and even so, forget about plugging into the FC's USB port without popping your stack. I had to carve away parts of the top cover to fit the succex stack in. Another thing to note, is that with the 1103 motors, the front props clear the camera lens by less than a hair's width. Unfortunately, with the predator nano's length, the camera angle can go no steeper without colliding with the props.
I figured out how to wire the flywoo LED race wire to use them as just regular tiny LED strips. They are crazy bright when they're powered directly from the battery.
The cool thing is, its quick and quiet and a heck of night ride. The R3D Shifters frame is plenty stiff and super tough. At the same time I think it also dampens the the vibrations...almost like a built-in soft mount.

Beautiful build brother, I just built a 65mm tadpole and we have very similar weight. I also fly 2s 450mAH but found that I can use a 300mAh with similar flight time and better weight to power ratio so feels better in the air.

Thanks Croox! Yeah, I've been flying this for a bit now and am realizing it's not as light as I'd like it. I've been thinking about going to 3s for a boost. Thanks for the tip though, I'll give it a go...got a handful of 300mah from a previous build.

sick look !
what is the frame material ? molded carbon ?

I believe it is a CF/Nylon composite. It is tough as nails and the frame is only like 13 grams. Can't wait to see more of these types of frames.

Thanks, BTW!!!
