When Andy and Gab first let me see this beast I was at a loss for words...

You can follow along with the conception and then evolution of this platform from Hevi to Thicc here: Shendrones.com/HeviThicc

Building a Thicc can be a overwhelming experience even for those that have built their own drones before. We have built 7 so far and worked directly with Robert Moss, and Betaflight contributing developers Mark Spatz and Chris Thompson on tuning it to afford pilots to carry payloads up to 1.6kg and capture stunning full-frame camera content.

From carrying a 4k Black Magic Pocket, a multiple GoPro Live Streaming setup, or even up to a ZCam with full lens, Thicc can carry just about anything you need to get those shots in major motion pictures and broadcasts. We have added all kinds of options from the Entire R2 Camera controller to direct power regulation for removing batteries from those giant cameras.

Until recently GoPros were delegated to larger quads. A typical GoPro weighs around 125g and we've only recently begun to mount them on 3" cinewhoops. Even that is a stress on the motors. Now we've got the "GoPro Lite". Remove the battery, displays and casing and you're left with a small, lightweight board and sensor. Wrap it in protective TPU casing and you've got a 30g micro GoPro. The Hero6 is..

This guide will walk you through the process of building your first FPV quad. The goal with this design was to build a low-cost, lightweight quad, yet powerful enough to safely carry a GoPro in close proximity areas. I chose these parts to minimize the amount of soldering at no cost to the quality. A typical build requires around 30 solders while this only needs 25. It's not a huge difference, but..
