finally got this guy together. Was looking to do a cine build and while I crossed the chaser frame multiple times in my search I was never drawn to it other than it looking really solid. a clearance sale on RDQ decided for me and at 55 bucks I couldn't pass it up. as a bonus I recently upgraded the stack on my 5" so I was able to reuse the electronics since this frame has 30.5mm mounts as well as the 20mm mounts most of the other cines seem to be sticking with. looking online it does not seem like a lot of people building in it, and I can see why. it takes over 14 screws just to get at the stack and in between all of them are small carbon fiber plates standing vertically inserted into mounting holes. Getting the plates together is always a test of patience but in the end my suspicions were correct that this thing is a freakin tank when finished. Aside from taking it apart and putting it together, it's a fairly open frame that's easy to work in and has plenty of room for wire slack management and any additional sensors you'd want to add. I'd also add forcing the sir unit inside it's fiber and printed frame is a tight squeeze but still another really solid connection when finished. It's certainly a heavy build, pushing over 600g dry which isn't much lighter than my other 5" build on my profile, but it's taken a beating already and seems like it'll take a lot more before I need to worry about anything. Despite it's weight it can still get some speed on a straight path, it's smooth but responsive and has some of the longest float I've ever experienced. I was silly to think a 3" would be more quiet than my 5". sure the decibles might be lower but the pitch is much higher, giving this thing some throttle makes it whine no matter the props, could be these robo v2s aren't what I expected but I'll be looking for another option soon but I have a few more prop configs to test soon, specially the dal prop folding 3" I picked up as I've come to love the 5" version. The included 3D print parts are a bit rough but I've the files online and hope to print them up in my green garb here soon, but I'm appreciating it's "Stealth" look for a while until I can modify the parts to better suit my need.

never could get the included LED board to work even though the buzzer on the same board as the leds seems to be operating normally.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
