Picked up a Diatone GT M530 from a friend. Idea would be to see how the GTM frame runs then probably move to a Project 399 Super G frame as a better filming rig.
Update 9-13-20:
This is underway! Ive setup the GT M530 and am just waiting for the smoke to clear to give it a fly as stock before I tear it down to frame swap with the Super G frame thats currently in the mail. Ive also torn down and parted out my 4in MLR to scavange the gps, buzzer, and rx off of that build for this one. Eventually Ill build up Dave_C's new 5in MiniLongRange in lieu of the 4inMLR. While everyone is all about the 6s builds this one will remain 4s for now, since I have the motors and batteries to do so. At 2550kv and it being a Diatone motor I will be experimenting with props to see what kind of effeciency I can get, but so far Ive picked up a huge smattering of different props to try, some 5in, some 5.1in, and even a couple 5.5in options. The new semester is upon us though so getting this complete anytime soon might be impossible, unless I squeeze a little bit of tinkering here and there between grading :)
Update 12-13-20
Been a bit and lots has happened. Ended up never flying the GT-M530 and just went straight to the SuperG build. One issue I had was motor clearances on the SuperG arms. Nothing a carbon specific bevel bit cant fix though. Flew the Runcam Swift one time and have since gone to a Ratel since the Swift was PAL only. Still have to get GPS straightened out or rather confirm that its working properly, but Ive swapped over to the 1W+ TBS vtx and will be running a different buzzer setup since the stock diatone vtx setup is a combo buzzer+vtx 30x30 board. Not sure what Im going to do with that extra tbs unify vtx I now have, maybe that will live on a #MiniLongRange build? For now Im jsut waiting for the weather to clear up to go fly. Ive got GPS to confirm, 5.5in props to try again, and 2000mah batteries to try.
Nice Quad! Question any issues with SA 2.1 and that VTX in regards to pit mode etc not working correctly in Beta Flight
Ok Gotcha! I have a nano it works great, but the Unified Pro HV v1 is a pain. I was able to get SA 2.1 working -kinda I have pit mode on a switch, but its so weird the quad powers up in pit mode (as set on vtx) even when armed. Then when I flip the switch to pit mode nothing happens of corse, but when I switch to normal mode it triggers the VTX to power up so I can get out of pit mode by via the aux channel, but cant put it back in pit unless i reboot.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
