I have been messing around with getting a setup that I am really happy with for medium to long range flights. I originaly built a 8" iFlight that I almost lost in a lake when the flight controller freaked out. I got a 7" Glide frame to replace it and I was never quite satisfied with it and the arms were not able to use 19mm motor mounts that the Brotherhobby 2810 motors that I wanted to use so I decied to try the Pyrodrone Source One 7" frame.

First off I am very happy with the frame. The carbon is great quality and the frame overall is very well thought out. I did decide to "slam" this build and went with 20mm standoffs instead of 30mm that the frame came with. I often use two packs in parallel with one on the top plate and one on the bottom so I wanted to keep the weight as close to center as possible.

On this build I am using the Geprc Span F722 dual gyro FC and 50 amp esc, a TBS M8 gps and Frsky R9mm receiver. I also selected the TBS Unify Pro 32 HV VTX and paired that with the new RunCam Phoenix 2 Bardwell edtion camera and a Luminier Axii 2 Long Range antenna. And of course the beautiful Brotherhobby 2810 1180kv motors with the red and blue anodizing on the bell. Then to finish off the build a Ummagrip battery pad and 3d printed parts from Brain3d and kwad skids from Kwad3d.

Thanks for checking out my build!
Happy Flying!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
