after full assembly V1 https://rotorbuilds.com/build/24756 , I realized this will never work as a puller using the emax motor and props. The props are not bidirectional and prop shaft is not tall enough to flip the props.
soooooo here we are..
Is this the smartest setup... no.. props are fully exposed.
This is more an exercise in determination :)

33g give or take (not sure my scale is accurate) with no battery

The only way these motors are gonna work with the 40mm props on this frame is outside of the ducts. I do need to keep the ducts for structural rigidity.
I am using a carbon fiber whoop adapter to keep things in alignment and a toothpick adpater on the opposite side to hold down the xm+

The vtx is on the bottom only because I am too lazy to move it at this time...
this is no bueno as it gets hot af, but this creature is not gonna live for long....

Once I get a new frame, these parts will repurposed :)

I have some long bolts for landing gear, but i need a better solution.. mabye some feet on two bolts. Its acceptable for take off, but landing i have to kill the engines and let it fall to prevent the props from hitting the ground.

I just added some plastic duck feet for shitzngiggles. it lands good now :)

After some axis and gyro massaging... it actually flys... crazy... but as you suspected.. it flys like crap :)

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
