https://fpvcycle.com/collections/new-products/products/fpvcycle-30mm-1450kv-7-8-6s-8s-motorI have chosen this frame and all initial components (2806.5 motors with 7" triblades) based on the assumption that this was a somewhat popular setup which I could imediatelly tune. The initial setup was a complete failure. It dind't work well enough with any tune I tried (others' or mine). The huge weight imbalance caused by a top mounted 1200g camera+lens is not something that these tiny motors and props can handle properly which is why I decided to increase motors and props size.

Log:
2020.11.10 replaced motors with the larger 30mm FPVCYCLE (prototype version). switch to HQprop 8" bi-blades
After motor&prop upgrade flying feels incredibly well with BF4.2 default PIDs and Filters. Previously with the 2806.5 and 7" props it was almost unflyable with default BF settings and it really hard to tune. I still have to tune out the small wobbles it does because of huge weight imbalance (note: the wobbles used to be huge with previous motors and props) but first I want to test it with tri-blades and see which combo provides a better flight experience with defaults PIDs.

2020.10.11 - Flew A7S3 again and uploaded results on youtube:

2020.10.10 - Changed motor direction back to default, upped PWM frequency from 24 to 36KHz, upped motor timing to 25. These changes solved motor heating but it still has some unwanted wobbles. Flew the A7S3 for the first time with sony 12-24mm. Posted results FPV Cinelifters facebook grp.
2020.10.04 - My first flight. Tried Troy's PIDs but motors got really hot when adding a 1.2kg payload. Tried it with defaults Betaflight PIDs and motors are barely warm.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
