After making various versions of my Optimo design, I saw that BrotherHobby had made their 2004 motors?, these motors were begging to be built into an ultralight 5" to see how high a power to weight ratio I could obtain?. Taking what I had learnt from my other Optimo designs, I spent maybe 2 months refining the design to make a super lightweight 5", I have obsessed about every millimetre of this frame to make sure that it is structurally strong but does not carry a speck of carbon that does not need to be there. The arms follow the same 'square' philosophy as used on my other designs, this gives maximum strength with minimum obstruction to airflow. The final build weighs 130g without battery. This quad is crazy fast with insane punch. This will fly on a 650>850 4S for the lightest weigh, but I use GNB 4s 1100mah 130C batts because they can dump some serious juice for crazy punch.

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
